Snow Covers Laurel Fork Rustic Retreat

Winter storm after winter storm has blessed us with many beautiful photo ops at the Laurel Fork Rustic Retreat and around the Big South Fork! At one point, in January 2016, we had almost 13 inches of snow. With that storm came downed trees and impassable roads. 

SNOW DAYS

The local schools have used 11 of their 13 built in snow days. At first, we made the best of it by sledding with family and friends, building snowmen, and taking the back roads (4 wheel drive was a must!) to take some scenic photos. After that, we stayed cuddled up in our homes next to the warm fireplace. However, after almost a month of snow we are ready for warmer days!
